So why shouldn't you consider it?
Food is a serious business for Antonello and Nicola, the "Boys of Panisperna". They do their own daily shopping, so forget about the menu. Leave it in their hands. "Ci pensiamo noi!". - We'll take care of it! And boy, they do!
Don't ever skip the antipasti, that delicate mixture of vegetables, mussels, clams and octopus, cooked in any of a thousand different ways, and fresh oysters for those who like them.
Just when you think you have had a full meal, in comes the pasta. Don't offend them, take that assaggino, that wonderful taste of different "paste". I particularly love the pasta al salmone (with salmon) or the pasta all'aragosta (lobster), but others prefer the pasta and vongole (clams). The points is: you can try them all.
You may now relax for a while. Don't laugh, just chuckle at the sight of that huge basket of fresh carrots and salads and fennel and celery, in front of you. Don't skip it. It is not just healthy, you need it to nibble away hat feeling of 'am I overdoing it?
Time has now come for some serious stuff. You can pick out a fresh fish from the acquarium , and they'll cook in any way you like. I personally go crazy about the "mazzancolle" (king prawns), literally 'thorat nippers'. You just go nip-nip, as if you were about to cut something with fingers, and they will know!
They will definitely not let you leave without having tried one of their many "dolce". They serve a marvellous vodka-lemon sorbet.
How could I forget: the Sardinian housewine is just fabulous. The amaro and grappa, served with the espressom, are on the house.
